I provide supervision for trainee and established psychotherapists and counsellors from an integrative perspective, person centred, transactional analysis and Islamic psychology and psychotherapy. I also offer academic research supervision in the field of qualitative research in counselling and psychotherapy.
I also have a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients having undergone training in working in psychotherapy with adults who identify with being neurodivergent: ADHD and ASD.
My supervision style
I have a certificate in supervision from the Manchester Institute of Psychotherapy (Level 7) which means I can work with integrative perspectives and stand-alone (PCA/TA) to meet supervison hours for BACP accreditation. If you are UKCP these clinical hours can be counted as ‘other supervision’ if you are aiming for CTA/UKCP accreditation (please check your governing body for hours and qualifying status).
My training in supervision draws upon The Seven-Eyed Supervision model was developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet in 1985, who integrated the relational and systemic aspects of supervision in a single theoretical model. The model is relational because it focuses on the relationships between client, therapist and supervisor and systemic because it focuses on the interplay between each relationship and their context within the wider system.
Supervision can be in-person at the Gestalt Centre in Fallowfield, Manchester or on-line.
Supervision is monthly for 1 hour and 30 minutes to meet BACP requirements (6:1 ratio client hrs)
Costs: £75 Individual Supervision. Group (2-3 persons 1 hour) 2 hours £60 3 hours £50
